What this is an a attempt to create a resource on various ways that human beings have been engaging in entering texts. Some approaches well known (QWERTY), some previously widely used but now discarded (T9) some widely used and universaly hated (whatever you write with on a playstation). Needless to say I have my own ideas and will discuss them as well.

My aim is to be as transparent as possible when it comes to all of this so I welcome input. Even harsh criticism is more welcome than silence, as I’d like to stay as close to the truth as possible.

Framework for text input experiments

Along with a collection of texts with my analysis I am working on creating a framework for comparing and testing out new input methods. The idea is that if someone has a good idea it can be implemented in a way that gives it access to autosuggestions, operating system support and will let it be easily tested by users.
